• Only one entry per category per artist or collective

• You must be permanently residing in Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire or Norfolk from the time of submissions opening to the time of winners being announced. If you win a category, you will be asked to show proof of residence - not presenting suitable evidence (such as a utility bill, bank letter or driving licence) will result in your entry being voided

• Submitted work must, in the majority, be photography. We regard photography as everything from raw processes such as cyanotype right through to manipulation and constructed images. Unless a category specifies otherwise, we are happy to accept contrived or staged images and view all imagery as art, rather than a true reflection of an event

• Your entry will be rejected if it contains material that promotes hate, contains explicit sexual material or is not submitted in line with the guidelines

By submitting you are agreeing that:-

• Upon being selected as a winner, runner-up or other editorial focus, you are happy for the work to be displayed and reproduced in multiple forms aimed at driving awareness of your work, of the Of Coast + Stars project and of the region’s creative talent. The work may be disseminated and used in websites, exhibitions, books, social media, press or other forms but priority will always be given to a true contextual depiction of your work. Your work will never be individually sold or syndicated without your express permission

• You are the sole creator of the work and have the rights to participate in awards and the associated marketing

• The work was created legally and consensually with all participants (in the case of street photography, consent can be assumed if work is legally produced)

• Coaching or mentorship clients are unable to apply to categories of their respective coach/mentor

• Any fees paid help to continue the work of Of Coast + Stars and cannot be refunded unless your submission is rejected, in which case your refund will be issued within fourteen days

• Each category will have three winners

• Judges are unable to see your Pay What You Can fee and this has no impact on editorial decisions

• Scoring is undertaken blind, where judges cannot see artist details

• Judges will be making selections based on their experience and the scope of their category and will make scoring decisions based purely on the work

• We will be looking for work which not only reflects the category but tells narrative through visual storytelling. Make brave decisions and be authentic

• If you are unsuccessful you may request feedback for the decision, but we cannot guarantee this will be provided

• All decisions are final

• Images should be in JPEG format, at least 2,000 pixels on it’s longest side and be no more than 10mb in size

• Only one image per category per artist will be accepted. If multiple files are received to one category, your entry will be void

• Filenames for your images should be in the format ‘firstname_lastname_artworkname.jpg’. For example ‘blogg_sjoe_thesky.jpg’. For the Collaboration category, the format should be the name of the person submitting the work

• You may submit new or old work, published or unpublished

• Work not submitted in the above format will be disregarded and not constitute an entry
